2025 Legislative Highlights

More than 700 bills were introduced during the first session of the 109th Nebraska Legislature, including multiple pieces of early childhood legislation. While the fiscal climate made it especially difficult to advance major priorities, several critical early childhood initiatives were preserved in the state’s $11 billion biennial budget.
